Sydney man attacked by shark – First Aid

Benjamin D’Emden, 34, was swimming off the shore of a remote island resort in the Pacific nation when the shark attacked him from below, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Mr D’Emden was flown to the country’s capital, Honiara, for emergency treatment.

Doctors worked to stabilise Mr D’Emden and it is expected he will be flown to Australian for further care.

He had been holidaying with 16 other Australians, including his father, when the attack happened.
